ITU Announces the Forum Theme for WORLD 2006
"Living the Digital World"
With the convergence of technologies, ITU TELECOM events are no longer just about telecommunications or infrastructure. ITU TELECOM WORLD provides the premier platform for global networking and exchange, bringing together leaders not only in the telecommunications sector, but also related industries like IT, broadcasting, media, banking & finance, education, digital entertainment as well as other product, service and content providers via the ICT platform.

The Forum theme for ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 has already been announced: "Living the Digital World". Three domains have been identified under this theme: Digital Lifestyle; Digital Ecosystems; Digital Society.

Apart from high-level inspiring business-oriented discussions surrounding the theme, the Forum will be realised on the show floor through the thematic pavilion "Living the Digital World". ITU's Call for Abstracts, ie invitation to submit biographies, abstracts for potential speakers/panellists will start in August 2005.
