Forum Advisory Committee Meeting
The ITU Forum Advisory Committee held a meeting at the AsiaWorld-Expo on 21-22 March and finalised the framework of the WORLD 2006 Forum under the theme "Living the Digital World". |

| Numerous abstracts were received from potential speakers under the three domains - Digital Lifestyle, Digital Ecosystems and Digital Society before the deadline for submission at the end of January 2006. At the meeting in Hong Kong, the Committee members defined the sub-themes under each domain and selected speakers for each. |

Youth Forum Advisory Committee Meeting
The ITU Youth Forum Advisory Committee held a meeting on 23 March and finalised the framework of the Youth Forum programme for WORLD 2006. At the meeting, sub-themes were discussed and defined, potential speakers and mentors were identified to help the Youth Fellows learn more about the ICT industry and how they could contribute to its future development. |

| University students from 189 ITU member states are going through a selection process, including the final adjudication by the Youth Forum Advisory Committee. Upon selection, over 300 Youth Fellows will represent their home country and take part in the WORLD 2006 Youth Forum programme to be held this December. The programme includes plenary and breakout sessions, training and workshops in areas covering Technology and Applications, Policy and Regulation, as well as Business and Finance in ICT. |

| In addition to the core programme, side programmes will be offered by the Host City for an enriched experience for these young leaders of the future. |

| The People's Republic of China is the leading sponsor of this year's Youth Forum programme. |
