Exchange Activities with Canada
1-9 May 2006
Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver

 
A China delegation led by the Ministry of Information Industry is heading for Canada as part of the pre-event Business Facilitation Programme organised by the Host City Secretariat for ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006.
 
Head of Delegation: Mr Chen Yin, Director General of Foreign Affairs, MII
HKSARG official: Mrs Marion Lai, Deputy Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology(Communications and Technology)
 
Delegation members include: Senior executives representing China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Satcom, China Tietong, Datang Telecom, ZTE Corp, Huawei Technologies, PTAC - the MII appointed agent coordinating participation of over 100 Chinese companies in the ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006, plus Hong Kong industry bodies including WTIA and HKWDC.
 
The Programme aims at fostering understanding of the Chinese ICT Market, exploring development opportunities and providing networking and knowledge exchange platforms for the participants in the run up to and during ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 taking place 4 - 8 December 2006 in Hong Kong, China. The exchange activities in Canada are organised in collaboration with Industry Canada, including seminars, partnership services, client meetings and visits to R&D centres.
