Opening Ceremony (3 December 2006)

 


The Opening Ceremony for WORLD 2006 took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 3 December. Officiating at the Ceremony were the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Peopleˇ¦s Congress, Mr Wu Bangguo, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2006, Professor Muhammad Yunis, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mr Donald Tsang, and Secretary General of the ITU, Mr Yoshio Utsumi.
